Trade Ideas for 02/09/10

No follow-through on Friday's late afternoon push, and now the market could be in real trouble. A break of Friday's lows and the S&P could see its 200-day moving average in short order. Its 50-day moving average has already turned south, although not decidedly so. Still holding our shorts, maybe adding.

Trade Idea for 02/08/10

After washing out Friday morning, the market came roaring back to close the averages green for the day. Long-legged dojis such as the ones painted Friday are stark reversal signals, so we can't discount the possibility of at least a short-term bottom being put in. However, if the rally ended on January 19th, the market should not get above last week's highs, so that'll be our exit point. We were stopped out of CYTR and into DXD and QID.
